Catalyst Support

CARiACTCARiACT is specially manufactured silica designed to have precisely controlled properties used as a catalyst support. Through new techniques in silica development, CARiACT has a high water resistance that will not fracture during impregnation in solution. Fuji Silysia Chemical, Ltd. has the capability to offer customers customized catalyst support aside from the standard grades. CARiACT Q/C

A spherical catalyst support with high crush strength and water durability. The increased crushing strength makes possible for dust-free loading of the catalyst into a reactor and further reduces broken particles and abrasiveness. CARiACT Q/C has higher bulk density (0.55 g/ml) to allow for down-sized reactor systems.

CARiACT G

A granular catalyst support also suitable for making molded catalyst supports. Larger particle sized supports may break during impregnation in solution due to lower water resistance compared to spherical types.

CARiACT P

A catalyst support designed specifically for polyolefin polymerization. This Vapor Phase method of polymerization is finding increased utility toward industrial catalyst operations. The shape of the catalyst support has significant impact on a polymer’s shapes, physical properties and handling characteristics. CARiACT P produces a highly uniform spherical shape and improved surface smoothness for increased efficacy.

The CARiACT product line can be modified with treatments such as alumina, titania or magnesia to be utilized with maximum effectiveness.
